Frequently Asked

What counts toward my monthly dev hours?
Design changes, custom Liquid development, app installations and configuration, performance optimization work, bug fixes, and QA testing all count toward your hours. Site monitoring, reporting, communication with your account contact, and pre-deployment backups do not count. You're paying for hands-on-keyboard work.
What if I need more hours than my plan includes?
Additional hours are available at $125/hr, billed at the end of the month. If you exceed your plan's hours for two consecutive months, we'll recommend upgrading to the next tier — which gives you a lower effective hourly rate and faster response times.
How do I submit requests?
Email on all plans. Slack access on Growth and above. Phone access on Scale and above. Submit a request, and your dedicated account contact triages it, confirms scope and estimated hours, then queues it for development. Critical issues (checkout broken, site down, payment errors) get escalated to the front of the queue regardless of plan tier.
Is there a long-term contract?
Starter, Growth, and Scale plans are month-to-month. Cancel any time before your next billing cycle. Enterprise plans require a quarterly commitment because the scope involves dedicated team allocation and longer-horizon project work. No plan has a cancellation penalty.
Do you work with Shopify Plus stores?
Yes. Our Scale and Enterprise plans include Shopify Plus-specific capabilities: checkout customization, Shopify Scripts, Flow automation, multi-store management, and B2B wholesale features. If you're considering migrating to Plus, our Enterprise tier includes migration support.
How is this different from hiring a freelancer?
